How to Consign at Lifestyle Consignments

Please Note: We accept consignments Tuesday through Saturday

Thank you for choosing to consign with Lifestyle Consignments. Please read our contract thoroughly before signing. We strive to maintain a win-win-win experience for the consignors, the customers, and the shop. Our policies and terms represent this philosophy.

Furniture/Home Decor

  • We accept furniture and home décor consignment items based on condition, seasonality, demand, and current inventory. We must see all items before they are accepted. Digital photos are preferred. Regular photos can be mailed or brought to the store. Be sure to note any flaws or “character” marks! If you have several pieces, please call and we can set up a time to see the items in your home.   • Generally, we accept items that are clean, odor free, with no stains, tears, broken parts, scratches or excessive wear/fading. We cannot accept items that need to be refinished or re-upholstered, although we can perform minor touch-ups to your pieces to help them sell. Please make sure your items meet our acceptance requirements.
  • You may bring in your conditionally pre-approved items during normal business hours, Tuesday-Saturday. No consignments on Sunday. Please call to schedule your delivery to ensure we have space available.
  • Our pricing specialist will carefully inspect your items, and establish store pricing with consideration given to condition, quality, manufacturer, original purchase price, style, demand, as well as previous sales of similar items. Please share your knowledge of value.
  • Our staff stages and displays your showroom ready merchandise.  When your item(s) is sold, your account is credited immediately.  Payouts are once a month, following the month your item(s) sell.
  • The consignment period is for 60 days. Most items sell in 30 to 45 days or less. All items are discounted 20% after 30 days.  After 60 days items are expired and MUST be picked up within 6 days or they become store property.
  • We share the net proceeds with you 50/50 on furniture items, and 40/60 on artwork and home décor.


  • Less than 25 items of clothing, shoes or accessories may be brought in during normal business hours Tuesday-Saturday (Preferably before 5PM).  More than 25 items, please call to schedule an appointment (303)485-2617.
  • Please bring your items in on hangers (they will be returned).
  • Items for consignment in the clothing area must be seasonally appropriate, clean and in great condition.
  • The consignment period is for 60 days. Most items sell in 30 to 45 days or less. All items are discounted 20% after 30 days.  After 60 days items are expired and MUST be picked up within 6 days or they become store property.
  • We share the net proceeds with you 40/60, with the exception high-end jewelry and handbags, which is 50/50.

Are you downsizing? Moving to a new home? Merging two households? We offer you a hassle-free, safe, and convenient way of finding a new home for your items, and acquiring cash or store credit. We do all the advertising, promotion and staging. Your items are on the sales floor long enough to find the right buyer… you’ll get a check or “store credit”. What a great way to “change-up” your own décor if you want. And who doesn’t like the idea of recycling, repurposing and re-loving treasures?
We accept gently used furniture, rugs, artwork, dishes, home decor and accessories based on a variety of criteria. Our experienced staff considers your consignments in terms of the condition, seasonality, style and expected value. Acceptable consignment items will be in good condition free of scratches, tears, stains, broken parts, odors, smoke and pet hair. We will also take scrupulously clean linens such as pillows, pillow shams, comforters/duvet covers and draperies. 
We are currently accepting “manageable” amounts of home décor and accessory items during regular business hours Tuesday-Saturday. No consignments Sunday and Monday. That would be from one item to 3-4 boxes. For furniture items we ask that you send us an e-mail with pictures to We will get back to you at our first opportunity, with a phone call or email to discuss your items and when you will be delivering them. You may also visit us at the store with pictures or samples for us to preview and discuss. Should you have substantial consignments of furniture and home décor, as in the case of estates, we may schedule a home visit to consult with you about consigning. In some cases we may negotiate a buy-out of selected items.

Lifestyle Consignments staff works with the consignor on the sales price based on industry guidelines, research on the internet, condition, and a variety of factors to determine fair market value. Our intent is to have the consignor feel good about what they receive, the buyer to feel they got a good deal, and the store to thrive. We may be able to give you an estimate on value based on pictures but final pricing occurs when the item arrives at the store. If a buyer makes an offer on your item, less than the asking price, we will attempt to contact you with that offer to give you the choice to accept, counter or decline. It is our experience that many times the buyer’s offer is in fact the true ”fair market value” in the current market. In most cases, if you are unreachable we will accept the offer if it is reasonable based on the time the item has been for sale. Lifestyle Consignments reserves the right to accept a reasonable offer, discount any item and run sale promotions without notice to the Consignor. This keeps our customers coming in and promotes a decision to buy!

Consignors receive 50% of the items’ selling price for furniture and large items, 40% of small items during the consignment contract period. Artisan and new or high value items may have a different split, determined with the consignor on a case by case basis.

The consignment agreement is Sixty (60) days. It is the Consignors responsibility to keep track of the agreement termination date.  After 60 days, the consignor has 5 days to come pick up their items. IT IS THE CONSIGNORS RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP TRACK OF THEIR CONSIGNMENT TERM. UNCLAIMED ITEMS BECOME THE PROPERTY OF LIFESTYLE CONSIGNMENTS AND WILL BE HIGHLY REDUCED AND SOLD OR DISPOSED OF AT OUR DISCRETION. We donate to several charities.

Consignor checks over $25.00 are available by the 15th of the month following the sale of the item.  Monies less than $25.00 will remain in your consignor account until used or your account reaches $25.00.

Lifestyle Consignments is not able to pick up or deliver your items at this time. Pick-up and delivery services are available through third party vendors for a fee. Lifestyle Consignments will gladly assist in coordinating any pick-up or delivery.

Customers are responsible for loading and securing purchased items on/in their vehicles.

If you are delivering or picking up items please bring help and any necessary blankets and tie downs.
